PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teach our Solyndra authorized course. (Other courses may be added latter)
- Suggest improvements to the course materials
- Submits regular reports on training activities, participant progress, and program effectiveness.
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant hardware and software applications as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 2-5 years experience designing and installing Commercial Photovoltaic Systems is required.
- Experience teaching adults is strongly preferred– ideally teaching electrical design, construction, or photovoltaics.
- Excellent communication skills with a high level of initiative and prudent judgment
- Excellent written and verbal skills -- Fluent English (reading and writing) is mandatory.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be available to teach 3-day classes during business hours, 8:00 – 5:00, usually Tuesday-Thursday.
- Will teach our courses in a clear and engaging manner.
- Will consistently earn very positive evaluation from the students.
- Will maintain knowledge of relevant equipment as required.
- Will communicate clearly with the home office
Salary / Fee –will be provided as a lump sum for each class. Fee based on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
Learning to be the trainer; watch, help, and do: 1st class – watch the class, no teaching responsibilities, no tuition is charged, no teaching fee is paid. 2nd class – working with a senior instructor, teach half of the class lectures. Half of normal fee is paid. 3rd class onwards – teach the class. (a lab assistant will also be present) – normal teaching fee is paid.
